The most famous monument, without doubt, is the Basílica of the Sagrada Familia, designed by the architect Antonio Gaudí. Other creations of his which are renowned are the Parque Güell, the Casa Batlló and La Pedrera. The Barrio Gótico is the oldest part of the city and is limited by Las Ramblas.
The Barrio Judío is the best preserved in Catalonia where the Jews lived for six hundred years. From the old Carolingian walls you can observe the views of the city and its surroundings. The Cathedral which is to be found on the highest point of the city has the widest Gothic nave in the world.
